Ecology News- Teaching Ecology – Karen Kurtak Blogs Smart
Excellent Blog Alert
Some Ecology News, Some Teaching of Ecology and lots of other topics.
What happens when you find a great blog and you want everybody to know about it?
Just Suppose
I mean what if Shakespeare was a writer living in a tree house in South America and
all his work got destroyed by time and natural causes never to be enjoyed by humanity?
Bummer.
I found a blog that really measures up and I want the world to know about it.
Unfounded Fear
I have this fear that intelligence is rare and
we need to swing the spotlight over when it starts to murmur.
The relationship among humans and nature and food and soil-water-type things is utterly mind boggling.
There is one who has a handle on it.
- She studies it so we don’t have to.
- She is sincere and well read, studied and applied. ( is that grammer?)
- She is honestly looking for the missing pieces and finds many clues, then reports on them in language I can understand.
- What a breath of fresh air.
Karen Kurtak is a rare woman.
Her blog is about
- better health and well being,
- the relationship of this natural thing to that.
- How it fits together and why and how you could act toward it if you want to improve both the basics and the frills.
One of her articles is about soil and how the human digestive system contains the same organisms found in dirt.
Karen explains findings that draw a definite corollary between
- your well balanced system and
- well balanced dirt.
The two have a relationship.
I mean if you consider millions of years living in and around dirt
you might assume it worked its way into the human system, huh?
Son of Bummer
But what happens when today’s soil is depleted of the elements that once filled us with vim and vigor. Bingo.
This is why I make it a regular mission to read Karen’s blog.
Where else would I get information like that, dumbed down enough for me to understand? Nowhere.
It’s fascinating to learn that when you eat acidic food
- your bones try to buffer it like a Tums tablet,
- and that process can break down your bones.

Know why great northern beans or adzuki beans with kale is so good for you?

Powerful Information
Karen has studied Chinese medicine for years and really knows her stuff.
She is well connected and comes in contact with the best of the best.
It’s kind of funny to me that when a person finds something they believe in
they want to share it all over with everybody. What is that? Caring, I guess.
So here’s my caring for the day- Do yourself a favor and check out Karen’s blog. KarenKurtak.com
It has some ecology news and teaching and plenty of other interesting information.
